we do |
 |
What action are we taking?
The Coalition has been actively campaigning since l992.
It works by:
- Raising awareness across Ireland about the debt
crisis
- Lobbying the Irish government and the EU to take
a strong stand on the debt issue
- Pressing the World Bank, IMF and G7 for radical
change in their policies
This involves:
- producing educational materials and information
- running seminars and conferences
- lobbying politicians, the IMF and the World Bank
- organising street demonstrations and working with
the media to raise awareness of the debt issue
- Carrying out research on debt, its impact and possible
solutions
- Networking with debt campaigning groups across the
globe
