How DDCI works
DDCI has been actively campaigning since l992.
DDCI works by:
- Raising awareness and carrying out development education across Ireland about global financial injustice
- Lobbying the Irish government, the EU and OECD to act for debt and tax justice
- Pressing the World Bank, IMF and G20 for radical change in their policies
This involves:
- producing educational materials and information
- providing open learning spaces on financial justice issues through development education
- running public seminars and conferences
- lobbying politicians, the IMF and the World Bank
- organising street demonstrations and working with the media to raise awareness for global financial justice
- Carrying out research on debt and tax injustice, its impact and possible solutions
- Working with the global justice movement
