How DDCI works

DDCI has been actively campaigning since l992.

DDCI works by:

  • Raising awareness and carrying out development education across Ireland about global financial injustice
  • Lobbying the Irish government, the EU and OECD to act for debt and tax justice
  • Pressing the World Bank, IMF and G20 for radical change in their policies

This involves:

  • producing educational materials and information
  • providing open learning spaces on financial justice issues through development education
  • running public seminars and conferences
  • lobbying politicians, the IMF and the World Bank
  • organising street demonstrations and working with the media to raise awareness for global financial justice
  • Carrying out research on debt and tax injustice, its impact and possible solutions
  • Working with the global justice movement
